New jobs

While I was researching the adult direct sales companies, my friend posted her sign on deal with her company. I knew it was a great deal and knew I'd have an awesome upline, so I am now a Passion Parties Diva! I have my kit and an extra order in my truck, waiting for when I can sort it out. I just did another order with goodies for people who have parties for me to get me started. If you want to be that person, just message me here!
I also got on the waiting list for Origami Owl. Turns out the list wasn't long and I get to sign up starting today!! So excited! While I was going to do the smaller kit, I think I'll splurge and do the larger one. I'll call about Market Days here, and setting up with direct sales. I shouldn't need the business license then. See how many people I can get to book parties, and hand out catalogs to while I'm there.
My link is http://shelsotoys.yourpassionconsultant.com for Passion Parties. No link for O2 yet. Either tonight or tomorrow I should have that link.
Time to start doing my reading!

Passion Parties

Sorry I haven't been here in a bit, life got super crazy and I'm just starting to get back to normal.
I've been thinking about signing on to do a romance company for some time now. I was starting to do the research on each party plan and trying to figure out which one would be a good fit for me. Then my friend posted a sign on special for Passion Parties. She's an awesome leader for her girls, and I knew I'd have a great support, so I signed up! Then I was thinking about making fast track. I'd love to get the bonus for making my goals. So, I went to my back office site and put in an order for some goodies - marked down items not available in the catalogs. I'm offering a goody to each person who has a party, over and beyond what they earn for having the party. They'll have a choice, depending on the size of their party. I do know I'll have online parties due to the hubs' schedule picking up in a bit, and not having a sitter.
I also signed up to be on the waiting list for Origami Owl. I was looking at another locket party plan, but they were too new, and it made me question their organization when they don't have catalogs ready. If I can't show people what I sell, how can I get orders? If all goes well, in 2 weeks I'll be a designer with O2.

Check it out and let me know if you'd like me to set up an online party for you!

February All Ready??

Geez people! I'm falling behind and it's only February! Lots on my agenda now that I only have 3 direct sales companies. I figure I'll add another one soon - gathering info as we speak - but I'm going to be working on introductory letters to mail out. If I'm lucky, they can be mailed this week! If I need stamps, it'll be next week. There's a few places I'd love to introduce Uppercase Living, like the condos, private hotels, property management companies, and others. With this being an area that draws people all year, there's a lot of opportunities for rentals. That could mean people want decorations that can't be stolen. Uppercase Living also gives a place some "pizazz" with looking like it was hand painted.
There's a local camp here for medically fragile children. They just underwent some renovations, and I'd love to introduce Noah's Ark to them. It could be a great craft for the kids, or they could use it as a fundraiser. There's a few schools and day cares in the area, but I'm willing to travel somewhat for a party. Fundraisers would give me some attention as I don't know if there's anyone else in the area that's a party leader.
Now, or it works!, I plan to concentrate on spas, salons, gyms, and boutiques. If no one has a letter template for introductions, I guess I'll have to work on one myself. Make sure they know we have a diverse line that includes the greens and shakes so many people are swearing by these days. (and I would too, if I had an actual kitchen!) We also have creams, wraps, and dietary supplements. I have a few other places in mind to target, but I'm not quite ready to give up my ideas yet. *grin*
I'm looking to get information on a local craft consignment store, but it's not exactly local to me right now. From what I've researched, there's only one in this area, and it's a good 45 minute to an hour drive from me right now. One of my long term goals is to open my own place, but that's not likely going to happen for awhile yet.
Really wishing we had room that I could craft here. We bought a sewing machine last weekend at a yard sale, and I talked the hubs into giving us sewing lessons. I'm anxious to start making dresses for the girls - we have the best weather for summer dresses! I'm also hoping to make some dresses and skirts for myself - and I'm not a dress/skirt person! If I can learn machine sewing, I'm hoping to make a few things to sell. Add it to the headbands I make and other goodies I'm looking to do. Before we moved I bought some supplies, and I'm getting antsy to sort boxes and get my hands on those goodies!
Does anyone here craft? Sew? When did you learn? Do you sell your crafts?

Update

I was going to start posting about each of my direct sales that I do with links and pictures plus incentives going on right now. I decided to start with Lindt, and when I couldn't get into the back office for pictures and updates I emailed. Even though I got the new catalogs, I'm no longer active. To get active again all I would need to do is pay the yearly fee of $99. Umm, no thank you. I can sign up for numerous other companies and get a kit for the same price! Since I know I was dropped from The Greeting Cake Co. right now I only do Uppercase Living, it works! and Noah's Ark/ Bella Beads925. I am looking into a new jewelry company along with a food company. I like to diversify and this area doesn't seem to have a lot of reps for most companies. Last night I spent time working on my emails. Trying to clear out the out of date surveys and contests. I really fell behind when we were without internet for that week!Should be caught up soon so I can share my links for survey sites where you actually make money/points to cash in for prizes. The south Texas area is ready for a craft mall. There's a small shop in a small town outside of Corpus, and I think we need another one on this side! I'm looking into spaces (one is for sale, one is a rental), but money is an issue. I'd like to start out as a resale and craft boutique, eventually going to a craft boutique. Has anyone ever set up in a craft mall? What did you like about it? Are you still there? What do you not like about it?

My sites

I do a few different direct sales, and since our move I haven't been able to really do much with them. I now have a phone with a "local" number, but all of my supplies are in storage. I do have my facebook page - which needs updating as usual!- but I'd like to do a mailing campaign soon. While I'm here, I want to share my sites with you. Hoping to verify others shortly. I know I'd like to start with Damsel in Defense, but would need a space to store the tasers and other items from the kit.
Lindt, Noah's Ark, Uppercaseliving, It works!
Please let me know if you have any problems with the links. I'm hoping to add something with my crafts, besides my facebook page.
Anyone working on something? I'm hoping to work on some ribbon crafts soon. Depends on if we get to move soon. I keep pinning ideas, but don't take the time to actually go back to see what I have pinned! Is it cold where you are? Always good for crafting! You want to stay indoors, and anything to avoid cleaning! lol

Mayan Apocalypse

I guess it's a good thing I didn't do a "World is ending clearance sale" for today! lol Late afternoon here in TX, and nothing. Well, a bit chilly, but it's to warm up this week.
We're still in the RV, so no crafting or getting my stuff organized. I do hope to talk the hubs into making some stuff to sell. I'd like to go look at the local craft malls here to get info and see what they carry and how they look.I still need a business license to sell here, but am waiting on a more permanent address. Not sure yet how it all works since I didn't get to read the packet I received, but I'm hoping I can do some baked goods as well.
I'll be starting a blog over on wordpress in the next few days - if I can figure it out! That one will be geared towards crafting and homeschooling with some cooking/baking thrown in. We'll see if I can do pictures since I can't get much done in the tin can here.
Going to take a few days off, try to get a place to live, set up the blog, and get somewhat organized. I'm looking forward to bringing in some income again. Granted, it wasn't like a regular check, or even alot of money, but it was something. I've really missed doing craft shows while down here. Once things get settled I plan to look for places to set up, and possibly organize a few of my own. Depending on the cost, I'd also like to set up in a few shops. The one shop we checked out is cute, but doesn't get much traffic, and is a half hour or so drive. Not sure it'll be worth setting up anything there.
Happy holidays all and hope to see you back here soon!

Sandy - we're helping

A lot has happened since my last post, including a move to south Texas. Less than 4 months later Sandy devastated the area. Luckily our hometown wasn't hit as hard, but New York and New Jersey will never be the same. Since I can't do anything hands on right now, I'm donating ALL proceeds from sales from any of my direct sales sites. If you want to buy a Noah's Ark animal (or 5) for children who lost everything in that area, I do have an address of someone *in* a devastated area who is distributing donations to shelters. My facebook page for my business is Shelszoo Superstores where my links are posted. I will keep people updated on our progress as we get donations sent.
Thank you for any help!
